Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you of receiving the letter of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority No. (8311 / p) and dated (2/2/1440) that referred to the repeated occurrence of positive results of the permissible limits of residues of pesticides and contaminants in foods from the Republic of India, which had been exceeded the limit.
Upon the approval of the Executive Chairman of the Authority, as of (1/11/2018), a decision has been made to not to authorize clearance of any consignment of foods imported from India unless it is accompanied by a certificate of laboratory examination from accredited laboratories stating that food products conform to the permissible limits for residues of pesticides and pollutants in accordance with the technical regulations and instructions approved by the Authority.
